Must Try Coffee Shops in New York City

!±8± Must Try Coffee Shops in New York City

When it comes to New York City trends, boutique high end coffee is near the top of the list. Suddenly it seems any neighborhood you go to has a high scale coffee spot to call their own.

But which of these coffee shops serve the best cup? Here are some of my favorites.

I would be remiss to create a list of my favorite coffee spots and not mention the coffee at Abraco. This is serious stuff. You can get a slow drip coffee here, a process in which the beans are funneled through a cone and, well, drips slowly into your cup. They also have some of the best pastries in town.

Located on Lafayette Street down in SoHo is Philadelphia's own La Colombe Torrefaction. This place has my favorite iced coffee in the city hands down. They make it special here by adding a shot of espresso to your iced coffee.

Ground Support is another downtown Coffee Shop that I really like. Located in the western part of SoHo this place has a great vibe and also serves great food, a rarity amongst coffee shops in general.

No list of coffee shops in New York would be complete without me mentioning 9th Street Espresso. There has long been a debate about which coffee shop is better, 9th Street Espresso or Abraco? While I prefer Abraco, both options are two of the best that can be had.

On the Lower East Side is the Cobble Hill spinoff of Café Pedlar. This place has amazing food and is a great place to get some a decent amount of work done while sipping on some Stumptown Coffee.

These are just some of the best. It was hard to distinguish #2 -#10 on my personal list, so I may just have to make another article covering the topic.
